Diana Nawi is Curator of Special Projects in Contemporary Art at LACMA. Previously, working as an independent curator, she co-curated Made in L.A. 2023: Acts of Living at the Hammer Museum, Los Angeles, in 2023 with Pablo José Ramírez, and organized two exhibitions for the Olivia Foundation in Mexico City. Prior to that alongside Naima J. Keith, she was the Susan Brennan Co-Artistic Director of Prospect.5: Yesterday we said tomorrow, which took place across 18 venues in New Orleans in 2021. Her projects also include Michael Rakowitz: Dispute Between the Tamarisk and the Date Palm at REDCAT, Los Angeles; Mark Bradford: Los Angeles at the Long Museum, Shanghai; and Adler Guerrier: Conditions and Forms for blck Longevity at the California African American Museum, Los Angeles. She was as a guest curator and curatorial advisor for The Contemporary Austin and serves as a curatorial consultant for the digital media company Orange Barrel Media. She has previously held curatorial positions at the Pérez Art Museum Miami; the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation, Abu Dhabi Project; and MASS MOCA.
